The Technology Seminar on a New Generation of Intelligent Energy Meter Held

On August 30, a new-generation intelligent electric energy meter operating system feasibility technology seminar organized by Smart Metering Infrastructure Alliance(SMI)was held in Beijing. The experts and representatives from more than 20 enterprises and institutions including power companies, universities, electric energy meter manufacturers, chip design companies and Internet companies attended the meeting.

At the meeting, participants listened to the report of the New-Generation Intelligent Energy Meter Design Plan by the State Grid Center of Metrology , and the Report on the Feasibility of the Embedded Operating System of the New Generation of Intelligent Energy Meter by i-Sprint Innovations. These participants deeply discussed the software framework, kernel and its components of the new generation of intelligent electric energy meter operating systems, conducted full exchanges on the feasibility study report of the embedded operating system, and put forward the suggestions for its revision and perfection, providing technical reserves for the design of a new generation of intelligent energy meter.
